The Better Version of You!

The Better Version of You!

It was a hot summer night and my wife and I were recording for our vlog Renewed Mind. And as always we were just talking to the camera trying to get some raw footage in our designated recording room, and I was talking nonsense trying to be funny when she blurted out, “No matter what happened to you, we all have the ability to become better versions of ourselves”.

Better versions of ourselves!

The layers in that is just crazy! I never heard someone say anything like that before.

You know sometimes things happen to us and we believe we are somehow defective. It wasn’t our fault, or we made a mistake because we really didn’t know any better, and as a result we are destined to be the versions that we are for the rest of our lives.

But that’s not true!

I immediately started thinking of the old gaming systems like Sega Genesis or PlayStation, even phones. Each year certain companies have the uncanny ability and relentless pursuit to make their products better.

Even if the product got 10 stars and 100/100 score from staunch critics, the companies that excel and dominate their spheres, always improve their products and produce better versions.

New apps, new capabilities, faster processing, better usability. Whatever the case may be, it seems like we can take a lessoned learned from becoming a better version of yourself.

The word of God states:

If any man be in Christ He is a new creature and old things passed away and behold all things become new. 2 Cor. 5:17

I believe that as we continue on our Christian journey we have this wonderful opportunity of becoming better versions of ourselves.

Versions that we didn’t think we could become. Had no idea that it was even possible to be.

New and improved

Better than the old!

My challenge to you today, ask the Lord how to become a better version of yourself?
